How much does a delivery driver make delivering with Amazon Flex?

Will I be reimbursed for mileage, parking, or tolls?

Answer

As an independent contractor, you are responsible for your own expenses. Your overall pay rates include an amount for any mileage payments required by law. If you incur a toll while delivering, you will automatically be reimbursed. You will see your payment as “Toll Reimbursement” in the Earnings section of the app.

How do earnings work?

Answer

When you see a block offering, you will see the pickup location, estimated duration, and the amount we are offering to pay you for that block. The amount you see is the minimum amount you will be paid for completing a block, even if you finish before the estimated end time. This also includes returning undelivered packages to the delivery station. As an example, if you see $116 for a 4-hour block, this is the minimum amount you will earn. Nationally, sedan drivers earn a minimum of $116 for a 4-hour block, $174 for a 6.5-hour Large Passenger Vehicle block and $270 for an 8-hour Cargo Van block. Actual earnings may vary based on your location, actual block length and other factors. Van and Large Passenger Vehicle blocks are inclusive of a 30 minute unpaid break. Offers exclude GST. Question 3

What day will I be paid?

Answer

Amazon Flex Australia will deposit your earnings into your bank account every Wednesday by direct deposit for all deliveries made in the previous 7 days. Depending on your bank, this may take a few days to process.

Question 4

If I go over my block time to deliver all of my packages, do I get paid for the extra time?

Answer

We understand that sometimes, for reasons outside of your control, it may take you longer than the allocated block time to deliver all of the packages assigned. Amazon Flex reviews the total payments made to you every 30 days. If our records show that during that period your total delivery time went over your total block time, for reasons outside of your control, then Amazon Flex will pay you an adjustment amount for the extra time. You can track your payment adjustments on the ‘Earnings’ screen of the Amazon Flex app.

Question 5

When should I expect to see my earnings reflected on the ‘Earnings’ screen in the app?

Answer

Your earnings should appear in the ‘Earnings’ page of the Amazon Flex app within 24 hours after you complete a block. If you can’t see anything in your ‘Earnings’ screen, this usually means that there is a slight delay between the time that your earnings were processed and the time they appear in the app. Be sure to check back after a few days. If you have any questions relating to your earnings, contact Support from the ‘Help’ menu in the app.
