What do you need to deliver with Amazon Flex?
To become a delivery driver for Amazon Flex Australia, you must live in a region Amazon Flex operates in, have an eligible delivery vehicle, a valid driver's licence for your vehicle, car insurance, and an iPhone or Android smartphone. The Amazon Flex app is where you will complete your registration, schedule delivery blocks and track your earnings. You will need an Android phone that is 10.0 or newer, or an iPhone 6s or newer. Have the correct delivery vehicle
As an independent contractor, you will use your own vehicle to deliver packages in your local area. When you download the Amazon Flex app, you will need to select your delivery vehicle type. It's important for delivery drivers to check their vehicle type before they sign-up, as choosing the incorrect one may delay the ability to start delivering and earning extra cash. Use our large vehicle eligibility calculator to determine whether your vehicle qualifies for sedan, large passenger vehicle, or cargo van blocks.
Two-door passenger vehicles, and trucks or utes with open beds or trays are ineligible for making deliveries with Amazon Flex.

Do I have the right vehicle to be a delivery driver?
Please note: Always arrive for your block in a compliant vehicle. It is your responsibility to ensure that any vehicle you intend to use meets the requirements set out in the Amazon Flex Independent Contractor Terms of Service at the time of each block and if not, to ensure you do not accept any new blocks and/or that you act promptly to cancel any blocks you had already accepted. Your safety is our priority and vehicle requirements are in place to confirm that packages can be safely loaded into your vehicle.

If you live in New South Wales, you will need to complete an additional step in your registration process. After your background check you will be invited to complete Bluecard training which is a NSW industry standard safety accreditation requirement for the transport and logistics industry. Amazon will cover the cost of the bluecard training and pay you for your time to attend the course. This is not a requirement for any other region.

Have an iPhone or Android smartphone
You will sign-up and complete your registration on the Amazon Flex app. The app is also used to schedule your delivery blocks, navigate and track your earnings from your delivery block. Find more details about phone requirements.
Be 20 years or older
To drive for Amazon Flex you must be 20 years old or older. You must also have an Australian Business Number (ABN) which is a unique 11 digit number used to identify you and your business.

Have a full, unrestricted,
Australian driver’s licence
and the required insurance
Provisional, international and digital driver’s licences are not accepted. You also need to maintain a personal auto insurance policy with at least compulsory third-party personal injury (CTP) and third-party property damage (TPPD) insurance.
Pass a background check
As part of your registration, you will need to pass a background check which is completed with our provider, Accurate.
