What do you need to deliver with Amazon Flex?

Have the correct delivery vehicle

Hatchback or Sedan. Got a hatchback or sedan? Become a delivery driver with Amazon Flex and use your own hatchback or sedan.
Passenger Van. Got a passenger van? Become a delivery driver with Amazon Flex and use your own Van.
Cargo Van. Got a cargo van? Become a delivery driver with Amazon Flex and use your own Cargo Van.

Live in a region Amazon Flex operates in

Amazon Flex operates in multiple regions in Australia. To find out if we operate near you, visit our Locations page where you will find current delivery driver opportunities and a map of our pick-up locations.

If you live in New South Wales, you will need to complete an additional step in your registration process. After your background check you will be invited to complete Bluecard training which is a NSW industry standard safety accreditation requirement for the transport and logistics industry. Amazon will cover the cost of the bluecard training and pay you for your time to attend the course. This is not a requirement for any other region.

Have an iPhone or Android smartphone

You will sign-up and complete your registration on the Amazon Flex app. The app is also used to schedule your delivery blocks, navigate and track your earnings from your delivery block. Find more details about phone requirements.

Be 20 years or older

To drive for Amazon Flex you must be 20 years old or older. You must also have an Australian Business Number (ABN) which is a unique 11 digit number used to identify you and your business.

You can apply for your ABN via the Australian Government website here.

Have a full, unrestricted,
Australian driver’s licence
and the required insurance

Pass a background check

As part of your registration, you will need to pass a background check which is completed with our provider, Accurate.

If you are based in New South Wales, you will also need to complete Bluecard safety training before you can start delivering smiles. Amazon will cover the cost of the training and pay you for your time to attend the course.
